It is one of the most mysterious murder stories of the 1990s and has remained unsolved for over 25 years - the triple murder of the restaurant proprietor Manfred Meisel, his son Patrick and the animal keeper Claudia Leisten.
The Frankfurt-born Meisel became famous when he made the legendary "Bierkönig" on Mallorca famous beyond the borders of Mallorca. The documentary shows the murder investigation and reconstruction of the case by the chief investigator of the Spanish police at the time. He examines and questions the motives for the crime, which remain unclear to this day. The documentary reveals new leads to the perpetrators, which have remained unconsidered until now.
