Techno Rush
A three-part documentary about the history of techno music
From its beginnings in the underground of Berlin to a cultural phenomenon which has changed music, dance, fashion and even politics. The new documentary shows in three episodes excess and ecstasy, the rise of a global mass movement, which found its sad caesura at the Love Parade 2010 in Duisburg, as well as the failure and the resurrection of the techno scene. The focus is on German techno pioneer DJ WestBam and shooting star DJ Mausio. Among others, insiders of the scene such as Paul van Dyk, Tom Novy, Elsa for Toys and Kerstin Greiner talk about the movement that has been thrilling millions of fans with electronic beats for 30 years.
